I looked into getting one of these because my buddy had one and I thought it looked REALLY cool. I tried out the butterfly/chest exercise and the resistance was so inconsistant that I ended up hurting my shoulder. Has anyone else run into this problem?

MarkWilkenson May 20, 2010 at 9:12 pm

@MarkWilkenson The sliding bench is a cool concept and I do enjoy doing leg presses. The bad part is that the bench doesn’t track very smoothly (reference no bearings) and tends to wobble a bit.

My biggest complaint is the same mentioned by an earlier reviewer, the machine is a royal PAIN to set up for each exercise. It has gotten so annoying that many times I avoid the exercised that require a lot of steps just because it takes me out of my rhythem and its just a hassle.

@MarkWilkenson Having said that I have had problems with some things coming loose and the thing rattles like crazy during some exercises. The frame will never come apart but some of the smaller pieces are not that great quality. The pulleys for one look about as cheap as they come and contrary to what some people have said it does not use ball bearings in these pulleys.

It took me a about six months to pull the trigger on this purchase. I kept watching the videos over and over on the web. Apparently if you read what is posted on the Fitcore website there have been issues.

My own experience started with a lot of excitement about all the capabilities I saw of the videos online. When I received the machine there were parts that were very heavy and gave me a good feeling this was quality. For the most part it is a heavy duty machine.

Welcome BenchPress475.
Once your comments on this film you will see that you are very keen to spamming bad reviews for this machine. You display a lot of effort to write about these allegedly defective links. The mere fact of the possible damage to the cables not due to fault of the manufacturer or vendor, but with normal wear and tear on the material. It’s as if you bought a car and never went to a mechanic for overhaul.

BenchPress475 May 20, 2010 at 10:05 pm

@TheTitanT1

“The TitanT1″ is obviously someone spamming for the company that makes this product. Look at his English and where he is located. Sorry but pretending to be a customer to sell your product is dishonest and you hurt your credibility.

The fact is this machine is not bad but can be dangerous. For this price it should be much higher quality. The cables are junk among other things.

dwoklax May 20, 2010 at 10:31 pm

@mannyvelo he didnt seem that big or was it just the machine who mad him look skinny

budspotz May 20, 2010 at 11:05 pm

LOL!

deercowdeer May 20, 2010 at 11:51 pm

Some of you all have been saying that all you need is a dumbell rack and and bench and your good……. Uhhh true but not true if your a bodybuilder personal trainer or athlete this might be a GREAT purchase… Probably a little to expensive. But if I had the money I would by it. Do you think that this machine is made for the average Joe trying to get a good workout( despite the guy in the video)

fattyboy123456 May 21, 2010 at 12:41 am

thats impressive but they probably should have used a bigger guy…when i see a video like this i want to think…yea! I’m going to get buff!…. not, Yea! if i use this $12k machine i’m going to look like a long distance runner!.lol.

samsam1234fg May 21, 2010 at 1:39 am

royalpanthera7 May 21, 2010 at 2:27 am

@75SVS the most expensive one is i think 12’900 which comes with a heavy punching bag attatchment and probly some other stuff… so yeah you can get cars for that… but i dunno how much the cheapest one is

imnotbncre8ive May 21, 2010 at 2:50 am

Airbornerock May 21, 2010 at 3:31 am

75SVS May 21, 2010 at 3:44 am

mannyvelo May 21, 2010 at 4:43 am

Airbornerock May 21, 2010 at 5:11 am

@imnotbncre8ive i have 1, i bought it from this guy for 100 bucks its awesome i do all of these exercises

imnotbncre8ive May 21, 2010 at 5:30 am

Word, KyoukouSuneku!

This machine looks crazy.. but it won’t replace a rack + barbell.

mainmanlobo1234 May 21, 2010 at 6:20 am

Best machine in the market.
Very robust and high quality. Combines free weight, machine (smith) and cable exercises in 1! Now proud user for 2 years. Never had any problems. Must haves are attachments for preacher curl and leg curl and cables.

Airbornerock May 21, 2010 at 6:35 am

WEIDER MAX IS BETTER

TheTitanT1 May 21, 2010 at 6:58 am

@BenchPress475

Hello,
I use TITAN T1 since 2005 and the quality is very good. About the cables I can tell you that I used for 3 years very hard and when cables were wear away I call to producer and they sent to me new. ;-)

virtualreal May 21, 2010 at 7:41 am

Vvvvvvery true!

hawkinsa21 May 21, 2010 at 7:50 am

This. Great post

KyoukouSuneku May 21, 2010 at 8:00 am

While Machines are good, and do have their place, I’ve seen the titan go for $6000 (excluding weights). Now I could spend 1/6 of that and get just as good a workout with a cheap barbell set and a decent power rack/squat rack.

Even like you said, slow transition between exercises, quality issues. You got to think, is it worth it?
For $1500 nzd, I could get a decent olympic weight set, a cheap bench and a power rack and get a much better workout than this.
